Ice Creams to Technology

It must be 12-13 years ago, when I first bought a candy from this boy and he would be all of  9 Years. He was then a little boy and since then I have seen him growing up on his Ice Cream Stall to support his family in a remote village far off from Delhi.

I have always admired his determination, dedication and focus to write off his own destiny and I think most of us will find an inspiration in how he mend his ways from being Ice cream vendor to become an IT Entrepreneur. His routine is something which has been an inspiration for everyone who has ever bought a candybar or a Cornetto from his stall.I can still clearly remember the days when I used to see him studying under the only light bulb of his stall in between the small periods when there was no customers. It was his focus and hard work which paid itself off with a distinction in Board Exams and the history repeated itself in senior secondary exams as well.

He was loyal to both his studies and was also good at other things which made him a complete package unlike other teenage boys. He could give an experienced salesman run for his money. I remember the times when he would very smartly push me and vouch me for the taste of another ice cream in case he was out of stock at my choice of ice cream. The simple philosophy he followed was "This or That but Sell" which ensured that no customer returns without making a purchase from his stall even if his preffered ice cream is not available.

After completing his school, when Selling Ice creams and studying for his bachelors degree couldn't consume his 24 hours of a day, he started learning fixing bugs in a computer, formatting the systems, loading OS, which later gave birth to his company which provides technical support for computers.I felt proud and inspired looking at the BillBoard of his company on his Ice cream stall.

Now a days, He along with his 5 employees look after computers or its peripherals in and around their vicinity.

Life of Pi

This movie is a true showcase of how courage can help you survive even the toughest of situations in Life.

The 3D movie revolves around survival of Pi, a young Boy from Southern part of India who gets lost in the Sea alone with a Tiger(who is called Richard Parker) after he looses his family in a Shipwreck. The picture puts in front of audience, excruciating plight of a young boy who shows immense courage to fight and survive an almost endless journey of Pacific Ocean having left nothing but a Tiger being his companion all along until the end.The movie has some parts which stands as a perfect example of being adaptable in different circumstances.Pi being a vegetarian all his life had to turn non-vegetarian and eat a big raw fish due to his longing hunger. It also teaches us that circumstances can make us fight with an animal like Richard Parker for our food. Arjun Sharma, a Delhi Boy who played the role of Pi has done complete justice to his role by putting life into his character. The fiction movie through the character Pi shows that some lessons of life are learnt and implemented right away in mission critical situations. The movie also captures amazingly beautiful and mysterious Sea Life, Nature,Floating Islands whose water turns from sweet to acidic at night and Sea Creatures varying in sizes from tiny to gigantic.Pi Patel, finally survives the long and extremely painful journey and finds a beach where Richard Parker part ways from Pi and gets lost in a jungle while Pi gets rescued by the human species on the island.

As they say , Tough situations don't last but tough PEOPLE do

Problem and its Solution

Guys !!

Everyone of us face problems. Some BIG and some small . Few of us actually confronts and analyze it to come out of it. Off late I have realized from my experiences and from witnessing people around me that, there is always a solution to the problem ... there is always an answer to a question... there is always a light to the darkness...there is always a word to a silence...there is always a Key to a Lock...and there is always a friend to an enemy. It is just that how badly you want to come out of it , how badly you want to fight against your comfort of being accustomed to the problem. I don't know how many of you will actually believe my point of view but that has been a truth for me. I will relate this with an example from my own Life  .. !! The example would be a three part summary : The Cause , The Problem , The Solution

Erase problems and find solutions

The Cause :

It was the time of my college days, when I sat for placements in the penultimate year at one of the biggest IT firms in India. I was among the very few students who were through with the written test out of thousands of students. I along with my other selected friends were very happy and were waiting for next day to attend the interviews which could ultimately bring our dream come true in its true sense. Unfortunately I was the only one next day who was not selected for reasons unknown to me. So here I was, the only one not selected unlike my few friends who went for the interview. For people who like numbers most , I was among the 5 students who were not selected out of 50.

The Problem :

My rejection at that big organization was not the problem but the problem started with it. I sat for two more companies in the span of one month but was unable to make it to any one of them. The negativity by than had taken over the better side of mine. I used to regret the days I sat for the first company. Everyone looked mean and cunning to me.I started avoiding friends and started ignoring their calls and texts.Whenever I got a chance to sit for a company , I used to go without preparing and then used to curse my luck and God for not being selected. This happened for one long year until my best friend sat with me and asked me to change the way I used to think.

The Solution :
After a long consultation with my friend and a introspection of things I used to do, ways I used to think. I thought about the times when i really prepared well for a company. I realized that even if i sat for a company right then and there than I was not prepared enough. So I started thinking positive and said to my self  " Leave thinking about whether you get selected or not ,but you should be well prepared at least to sit for an interview". I devoted most of my time to brush up my skills and get my concepts right. I kept reminding myself that "Luck should be the last excuse in my dictionary" and for any other excuse I would be responsible. That ways I made sure i left no stone unturned in my preparations. Your hard work pays off sooner or later. I couldn't clear the first company interview after my preparation but got selected in the two companies after that. Hard work in my case was a single key in bunch of keys which could open the Lock to my first job. One might not be able to open the lock with the very first key he/she chooses, for some it could be second key,for some third. Rest assured that if some one has worked hard to remove the problem then there would be one key(might be last he chooses) in the bunch which would open the door to solution.
